The ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Board of Directors sets the strategic direction and establishes key partnerships to ensure the organization is as impactful as possible. Board members have a passion for advancing our mission—green and healthy buildings for all—and want to make a lasting contribution, consider applying to be a candidate for the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors consists of a total of no fewer than 12 and no more than 17 voting Illinois Green Members. 12 voting board members shall be elected by the membership (Member-Elected). The immediate past Board of Directors shall vote by a majority of the Board between 0 and up to 5 voting board members (Board-Elected). Member-Elected and Board-Elected Board Members have the same rights and responsibilities.

Board nominations for the 2025-2026 election cycle were due by September 30, 2024 @ 11:59 PM CT.

Elections Timeline

• Nominations period: September 10 - September 30, 2024 
• Voting period by Illinois Green Membership: October 30 - November 27, 2024
• 2025 Board announced: No later than December 9, 2024



2025-2026 Board Candidate Slate & Elections Process

This year the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Board Elections Committee is pleased to present a slate 8 candidates for consideration for 8 open board seats. The Board of Directors guides Illinois Green's strategic vision — to make net zero buildings feasible, affordable, and so commonplace that every building in Illinois by 2050 is net zero.

ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ members are asked to vote YES or NO to the proposed slate of candidates for the 2025-2027 Board of Directors. If you are an current ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ member, you will receive an email from ElectionBuddy to vote on the slate of candidates. The Board Elections Committee would like to thank all of the members who submitted their names for consideration.
